People keep telling me about the importance of consistency. I'm half way there as our weekend at Snetterton was certainly consistent, just unfortunate that it was consistently bad! A mechanical or electrical problem meant the car had a severe lack of power and this affected us all weekend. It slowed us down massively on Fridays' testing and in Saturday morning's qualifying session but what was worse, during both the races the car ground to a complete halt on the track. It was frustrating as we didn't collect a single point all weekend and I would have loved to have had a chance to race that track properly!
Fingers crossed our bad luck is well and truly over! Off the track, the guys in the OREX Competition garage had a very busy time. They worked tirelessly on the whole team's cars and were very supportive. I know they were just as disappointed as me by the car's performance - with the work they put in, I was gutted not to be able to reward them with success. The limited time we spent on track this weekend wasn't massively enjoyable, until the end when things got so bad they almost became comical! But I guess you've got to experience the lows in order to appreciate the highs. Thankfully everyone kept me smiling off the track so overall it was still a nice trip away from the stress of exams! Big thanks in particular to my mechanics (Andrew, Paul and Jordan) Dave, Michelle, James and the Clarke family for their support over what was a tough few days. I could never have got through the weekend without each of them, I'm incredibly grateful. A busy three weeks now await for the guys at Orex, to find the cause of our problems and fix it before Rockingham but I have no doubt that they will do it! Thanks everyone, we'll come back fighting!
